Halfway Home Rescue, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) small foster based animal rescue in Lexington KY and Harrodsburg, Ky.
Halfway Home Rescue is a foster-based organization founded in May 2012 dedicated to creating a more humane world for animals. We operate on three core pillars:
Rescue & Rehoming: We provide safe havens for abandoned, neglected, and surrendered animals. Through foster care and veterinary care, we prepare them for loving forever homes, matching them with compatible families based on personalities and needs.
Spay/Neuter Advocacy & Assistance: We believe spaying and neutering is crucial to preventing pet overpopulation and animal homelessness. We actively educate about its benefits and address financial barriers by providing spay/neuter assistance programs to community members , and facilitating Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) for feral cat colonies.
Community Collaboration: We foster partnerships with shelters, rescue groups, and animal welfare organizations, sharing resources and expertise to maximize our impact. We also collaborate with veterinarians and community centers to offer accessible spay/neuter services.
